Whether struggling with a mental health diagnosis, debilitating symptoms, or dealing with a life transition, Dr. Stacy Ellis believes therapy can assist individuals in overcoming life’s challenges while growing stronger during the journey.

Dr. Ellis has experience providing psychological services to a diverse clientele including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She utilizes an integrative and collaborative approach to therapy that is geared toward the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of her clients. Dr. Ellis does not take a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. She tailors her treatment based on the specific goals of each client. Her focus is simple yet profound: Empowering her clients while facilitating growth and healing, encouraging self-acceptance, and promoting healthy relationships. She views the counseling relationship as an alliance between client and therapist based on mutual trust, integrity, and respect, so that personal goals and outcomes can be achieved. Within the therapeutic relationship, Dr. Ellis holds clients’ confidentiality in high regard and provides a nonjudgmental and supportive environment.

Dr. Ellis has extensive experience working in residential treatment facilities, outpatient counseling centers, and community mental health settings. She has worked with the foster care population, individuals with substance abuse histories, and forensic populations. She has experience treating individuals from diverse cultural, racial, and socio-economic backgrounds, as well as individuals who have a history of trauma (physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, or neglect as a child).

Dr. Ellis understands that cultural competence is central to meeting the needs of diverse clients. In practice, Dr. Ellis is mindful and accepting of influences such as ethnicity, religion, unique family systems, and sexual orientation. She recognizes each client's individuality and strives to provide a culturally affirming environment. She also offers faith-based counseling for those who desire to incorporate their faith into therapy.

Dr. Ellis earned her Master's and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in Los Angeles, California.
