Karen is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the State of Illinois, and is in her third year of a Doctor of Social Work Program with a clinical emphasis. Karen graduated from Aurora University with her graduate degree in Social Work and she completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Environmental Design from The University of Houston. She works with children, adolescents, adults (including Veterans), couples, and families using an experiential approach tailored to each client’s needs.
Karen provides a compassionate, supportive environment in which her clients may overcome unfinished business from the past, freeing them to experience a fuller life.
The vision of being a clinician, student and educator simultaneously came to fruition in January 2015 when Karen was given the opportunity to teach graduate students while pursuing her doctorate. Her love of the art of cultivating enthusiasm in future social workers, especially those interested in clinical work, is at the heart of her teaching, and she carries this same passion into her practice with clients.
